IELTS Speaking questions from Iran were shared by two caring people (we appreciate your help, S and N). Thanks to their memory we also know that the Iranian exam was just like in the US.

Speaking Test 1

Interview

– What’s your name?
– Where are you from?
– Where do you live?
– Where is it located?
– Where do you parents live?

Cue Card

Describe the school where you studied in your childhood, please say:
– what good memory do you have about it?
– what is something that you will never forget about your school?
– was it a public school or a private one?

Discussion

– What are the qualities necessary for a good teacher?
– Why do some people like to be a teacher and what are the effects of being a teacher on those people?
– Is it easy to become a teacher these days for young people? Is it a good job for them?

– The educational system of your country now – how does it compare to the past?
– How many students are there in a typical classroom? is it an appropriate number?
– Why do some people collect things?
– What did you collect in your childhood and what do you collect now?

Speaking Test 2

Interview

– What’s your full name?
– Where are you from?
– Where do you recommend people to go and visit in your hometown?
– How did you learn to cook when you where a child?
– Do you like cooking now?

Cue Card

Describe a TV program you have seen and didn’t like, you should say:
– where and when you have seen it,
– what it was about and
– why you didn’t like it.

Discussion

– What qualities make a star?
– Should they be role models for young people?
– Some people say that movie stars earn too much, what do you think?
– What responsibilities should they have regarding their society?
