Writing task 1 (a letter)

You colleague is coming back from a vacation abroad. Write a letter to him/her and say

– Invite him/her to a party and mention the date and venue.
– Write about some good news at the office.
– Explain the reason for the party.

Writing Task 2 (an essay)

Nowadays plastic money replacements such as credit and debit cards are extremely popular, even more than banknotes and coins. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of this. Include your personal opinion and examples based on your own experience.

IELTS test in India – June 2015 (Academic Module)

An IELTS test taker from India (thanks, S!) shared the following information about a recent exam:

Section 1. Application form for a new job, requiring information about the applicant’s previous work.

Section 2. About fire and fire alarms.

Section 3. A lady was organizing a drama class and talking about the clothes, stage, repetition times and so on.
Questions: multiple choice, map labeling.

Section 4. Description of a certain mechanism and how it works.
Questions: filling in blanks.
