We were given a table showing facilities offered at the university in the UK and the percentage of students happy with them.

Writing task 2 (an essay)

Money should be spent on creating new public buildings such as museums or conference halls rather than repairing existing ones. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

– What were your favorite toys as a child?
– Did you prefer playing with your friends or on your own?

Cue Card

Section 4. Donna Chan, a university researcher explains about her studies, why she loves her job and about some of her new findings.
Questions: fill in blanks and multiple choice.

Reading test

Passage 1. A public library notification that included how the staff should behave.
Questions: True/False/Not given.

Passage 2. Description of some restaurants in Sydney.
Questions: Matching features to the right restaurant.

Passage 3. About an employment agency’s code of conduct and also some restrictions they have to comply with.
Questions: fill in blanks.

Passage 4. A text about job clubs, some suggestions on how to improve the clubs.
Questions: rephrasing some sentences.

Passage 5: A text about an expedition of two best friends to the dunes somewhere in Mongolia, near the Gobi desert.

Writing task 1 (a letter)

Write a letter to your manager and ask for his/her comments regarding the article which will be published in a famous magazine next month. In this letter, you should say

– What have you written the article about?
– Why did you write it?
– What makes it so special?

Writing Task 2 (an essay)

Nowadays in some countries, single young adults prefer to live outside of their parents homes, they usually leave to study or work in different places. Do you think this trend has more advantages or disadvantages?
