IELTS test in Chile – June 2016 (Academic Module)

Our friend S took the IELTS test in Chile and remembered the following questions and topics:

Reading test

Passage 1. About gold mines in Australia.

Passage 2. About biomimetics also known as biomimicry and its use in engineering.

Passage 3. Easy ways to discover lies when talking to people.

Writing test

Writing task 1 (a report)

We were given a bar chart and a pie chart showing the damage to continents that can be done by one metre rise of sea level. Charts showed loss of two kilometres of land and numbers of affected population.

Writing task 2 (an essay)

Many schools are arranging unpaid work for teenagers to get some work experience in institutions or companies, because it is beneficial for students as well as institutions. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
