IELTS test in Brunei – March 2010 (Academic Module)

IELTS test in Brunei was shared by C. (thank you!), and here is what she remembered:

Listening test

Section 1. Getting a gym membership.
Section 2. Visiting some tourist attraction in Australia.
Section 3. A lecturer talking to 2 students about a project.
Section 4. About airports.

Reading test

Passage 1. About children getting obese because of food promotions on TV.
Questions: True/False/Not Given.

Passage 2. About the planets and the solar system.

Passage 3. About celebrities and stars, and how companies hire such talented people.

Writing test

Writing task 1 (a report)
There was a table specifying the maximum, minimum and average salaries in Australia in 2006 for 5 job categories.

Writing task 2 (an essay)
Research shows that children spend more hours in front of the TV rather than playing outdoors. What are the reasons for this development? What measures could be taken to encourage children to spend more time outdoors?
