IELTS test in Hong Kong and Indonesia – January 2011 (Academic Module)

IELTS exams in Hong Kong and Indonesia sound identical, as described by our friends M and N. Here is what they collectively managed to remember:

Listening test

Section 1. Overview of varieties of birds and explanation how to join a bird-saving organization.
Questions: filling in a table.

Section 2. About an orbit tower.

Section 3. Presentation on telecommunications.
Questions: Labeling a diagram.

Section 4. About cement production.

Reading test

Passage 1. Banana and its diseases.
Passage 2. UK coastlines’ archaeology.
Passage 3. History of drawing maps in different countries from 19th century till now.

Writing test

Writing task 1 (a report)

Listening test

Writing task 1 (a report)

Unfortunately no one remembered the task.

Writing task 2 (an essay)

Governments spend an enormous amount of money on renovations of old buildings in large cities. Some believe that this money is better be spent on building new houses and road development. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
