  1. I am going to give IELTS exam in Qasim, Saudi Arabia.
I heard from a friend that, in speaking test, the examiner are not giving more than 7 for almost all candidate, i.e. the marking is low here in Speaking module. Is it true?
    Anybody, please help…

  2. Hi Samir, according to the official information IELTS marking is the same everywhere in the world, it is done according to the same standard. But I guess you are doubting that, so if anyone from your country can comment and say they got 7.5 in Speaking or higher, that would be more convincing for you, right?

They’re giving low because the speaking standard is low. It’s not an intentional aim to score low. Examiners are checked randomly that they themselves are following standards.

  4. Hi Patel, here are the most recent IELTS questions people got in their exams. If you go over some of these in the week you have left, and you write some essays, reports/letters, think of some answers to speaking questions (even write them down if you can), that will be help you feel prepared for your exam.
