– In the future would you like to get any training or courses from your company?
– What is the meaning of your name?
– Who is giving a name to a newborn in your community?
– Is there any function on the day when a baby get his/her name?
– In your culture are there any common names?
– Why do people give common names to their children?

Cue Card

Talk about activities that you are doing to keep yourself fit. Please say

– What are they?
– Why do you do them?
– How do you feel after doing them?

Discussion

– Do you think younger or older people are doing more physical activities to keep themselves fit?
– Is it a government’s or individual’s responsibility to keep their body in a good shape?
– In your society do you think the government is responsible for educating people about healthy life style?
– Do you think people prefer meditation or Yoga activities nowadays?

IELTS test in Nigeria – January 2018 (General Training)

When O took the IELTS test in Nigeria he was asked the following questions in the Writing and Speaking sections:

Writing task 1 (a letter)

You and your colleagues just came back from a foreign language training. Write a letter to the manager and say

– explain how you and your colleagues enjoyed the training
– suggest more training sessions in the future
– say when and where it should be conducted.

Writing Task 2 (an essay)

The tendency of human beings to copy one another is increasing in popularity. Is this a positive or a negative development? What can be done about it?
