IELTS test in Kyrgyzstan – September 2016 (General Training)

Our friend G took the IELTS test in Kyrgyzstan and remembered the following:

Listening testIELTS test in Kyrgyzstan

Section 1. A man spoke on the phone to get details about a car club membership, its terms and conditions.
Questions: short-answer questions (no more than 1 word or a number).

Section 2. A woman talked about fitness equipment and its use at home.
Questions: multiple choice.

Section 3. A discussion between two students about their research.
Questions: multiple choice.

Section 4. A lecture about soundscape or an acoustic environment that can be perceived by humans.
Questions: short-answer questions (no more than 1 word or a number).

Reading test

Passage 1. Don’t remember.

Passage 2. About ventilation in workplaces.
Questions: short-answer questions (no more than 2 words).

Passage 3. About travel to and from work by different kinds of transportation. The company policy regarding cover of these expenses.
Questions: short-answer questions (no more than 2 words).

Passage 4. A text about the Easter Island and researches done there by some scientists.
Questions: short-answer questions (no more than 3 words), multiple choice, True/False/Not Given.

Writing test

Writing task 1 (a letter)

You recently bought an item in the supermarket but later found out that something was wrong with it. You came back to the supermarket, but the staff weren’t helpful. Write a letter to the supermarket manager and say

Writing Task 2 (an essay)

Many countries spend too much money on training of a few individuals for international sports competitions. Some people think that governments should invest more in ordinary people instead. Do you agree or disagree? Give your opinion and examples.
