Reading test

Passage 1. A biography of a certain shipbuilder.

Passage 2. An article about environmental issues in Florida’s Everglades.

Passage 3. A story about children’s books author from New Zealand.

Writing test

Writing task 1 (a report)

We were given a graph showing the percentage of self-employed workers in five different countries in 1998 and 2000.

Writing task 2 (an essay)

Do advantages of having your own car outweigh the environmental issues caused by pollution? Discuss, and include your own opinion.
