Section 1. A phone conversation with a booking officer at a children’s theatre.

Section 2. Advice given by an airport pick up officer on different facilities available such as shuttle, train, cabs.

Section 3. Don’t remember.

Section 4. A research presentation about insects and means to eradicate their effects.

Reading test

Passage 1. About the bamboo tree.

Passage 2. About TV addiction.

Passage 3. Research findings about a particular language.

Writing test

Writing task 1 (a report)

We were given a graph showing the water consumption in four different countries (Canada, New Zealand, Egypt and Saudi Arabia) for industrial, domestic and agricultural purposes. We had to write a report about it and compare where necessary.

Writing task 2 (an essay)

The main aim of advertising is to increase the sales volume, but it drives people to buy products they don’t really need. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Give your own opinion.
