Listening test

Section 1. A man called a job information service telephone
operator.
Questions: filling out a form.

Section 2. Two students’ discussion with their course tutor.
Questions: filling in blanks, multiple choice.

Section 3. A man provided info about waste disposal in a community.
Questions: note completion.

Section 4. A lecturer talked about latest archaeological discoveries.
Questions: summary completion, choosing 4 correct sentences about the recording out of 7 sentences in total.

Reading test

Passage 1. About pearls.
Questions: Summary completion, True/False/Not Given.

Passage 2. Can’t remember.

Passage3. How people understand languages.
Questions: note completion.

Writing test

Writing task 1 (a report)

We were given two pie charts on energy use in Australia and greenhouse emissions from various appliances respectively.

Writing task 2 (an essay)

Some say the world would be a better place with fewer languages. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Speaking test

Interview

– What is your full name?
– Do you work or study?
– What do you like about your job?
– Do you like photographs?
– Do people take pictures in your country?
– Why do people take pictures?
– Tell me about a local dish in your country.

Cue Card

Talk about something that you would like to succeed in doing. Please say

– What is it?
– How would you make it happen?

Discussion

– Do you like competition?
– Some people say children should not be exposed to competition. What do you think?
– How do you think competition will change in the future?

  1. Hi Nap123, we can only share the details a student remembered. Nobody can remember the text – we’re lucky if they can recall the questions or the topics.
