Below are the details the R remembered from a recent IELTS test in India:

Section 1. Don’t remember.

Section 2. A recommendation to travel by train or bus.

Section 3. A map description of a hotel including nearby restaurants, cafes and other points of interest.

Section 4. About a clock and its development over time. Starting from sun dials, candles, sand clock and so on.

Reading test

Passage 1. About public transport.
Questions: True/False/Not Given, match headings to paragraphs.

Passage 2. About personal diaries.
Questions: filling in blanks, multiple choice, match headings to paragraphs.

Passage 3. About dinosaurs.
Questions: filling in blanks, multiple choice, True/False/Not Given.

Writing test

Writing task 1 (a report)

We were given a line graph showing 4 car manufacturing companies and how many hours it took to produce a single car between the years 1995 and 2000. The companies were General Motors, Ford, Nissan and Chrysler.

Writing task 2 (an essay)

Some people think that government should provide education for free on all levels: primary, secondary and tertiary. Others believe that it is the responsibility of individuals to pay for their own tertiary education. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
