Proven method

You may be working from 8am to 6pm. You may be a student who has other exams to worry about. You may be a parent spending every waking hour, raising a family.  It doesn't matter - this guide will help you fit IELTS preparation in any of your busy days.

Higher-than-expected scores

And when you do take the IELTS exam, prepare to be surprised by your score - it might be higher than you expected.

There are 2 types of IELTS - Academic and General Training

The Academic IELTS is usually taken by future students and General Training - by people who intend to live and work in an English-speaking country.

Listening and Speaking sections are the same for both Academic and General, while Reading and Writing sections are different.

In the Academic IELTS in the Writing Task 1 you will get a graph, table, chart or diagram and you will need to describe, summarise or explain the information on it.

In the General Training IELTS in the Writing Task 1 you will need to write a letter, according to the task prompt.

In the Academic Reading test there are 3 long texts for you to read and answer questions.

In the General Training Reading there may be 4 or 5, shorter texts for you to read and answer questions on them.

The skills and strategies that are required in the Academic and General Training IELTS are a bit different. This is why there is a book for each IELTS type:

'Target Band 7' is for the Academic IELTS, and

'Ace The IELTS' is for the General Training IELTS.

If you are preparing to take the Academic IELTS, you need 'Target Band 7'.

If you are preparing to take the General Training IELTS, you need 'Ace the IELTS'.

Compatibility: The free trial copy you will download is a PDF file. It can be read on any computer (PC or Mac), laptop or notebook, or a mobile device (iPhone, iPad, Android, any smartphone or tablet).

Why should you try this book?

Here is what Kenny, Nilumi and Dagmara have achieved by simply putting their doubts away and giving this book a chance. It is mind-blowing that IELTS actually DOESN'T have to be a struggle, right? Well, your experience can be very similar.

Band 7 in IELTS

You are the only ones that GUARANTEE a score over 7

I needed to pass the IELTS to study a Master, but after practicing two months with other books I realized that I wasn't ready for the test. Then I saw your ad on the web, you are the only ones that guarantee a score over 7, because of this I decided to buy it and guess what, I got 7 in every module except for the speaking where I got 7.5.

Even though I only had 20 days to get ready, the system is well structured and I followed exactly what it says. The positive thing is that I found the listening and readings harder than the other books and when I took the exam, I concluded that your book has difficult exercises so the actual test was easy. The tips for the reading saved my life, in the second reading I didn't read the instructions and lost 10 min, but following the instructions I could advance and come back to finish on time (guessing a couple of questions). Thanks.

Band 8.5 in IELTS

Used your 'Ace the IELTS' book and prepared for two weeks - Band 8.5!

I am writing this short message to say a big 'Thank You!' for your wonderful blog, books, IELTS tips and tricks. I attempted my General IELTS on 12th of February and I have scored:

Reading 9.0 Listening 9.0 Writing 8.5 Speaking 7.5, Overall 8.5

I used your 'ACE the IELTS' book and prepared for two weeks. Bang! I even cannot believe my results! I attempted the exam for immigration purposes and wanted 7.0 in each band. I have got more than what I was looking for!

Dagmara got Band 8 in IELTS

Band 8 in IELTS

I've passed my IELTS exam (scored band 8!). I'm tremendously grateful.

I am truly grateful, because thanks to your book I've passed it almost effortlessly. I didn't even make a study plan, mostly because I got the book 5 days before my exam and decided to focus on remembering most important things. However, better do not write it on your blog - we don't want people to stop learning and working, which is essential.
