An IELTS test taker from India (thanks, S!) shared the following information about a recent exam:

Listening testIELTS test in India

Section 1. Application form for a new job, requiring information about the applicant’s previous work.

Section 2. About fire and fire alarms.

Section 3. A lady was organizing a drama class and talking about the clothes, stage, repetition times and so on.
Questions: multiple choice, map labeling.

Section 4. Description of a certain mechanism and how it works.
Questions: filling in blanks.

Reading test

Passage 1. About crops.

Passage 2. About different car models and brands.

Passage 3. About mobile phones, texting habits, and the difference between old and young generations’ preferences.

We were given a bar chart showing the percentage of marriages in Australia between 1960 and 2000.

Writing task 2 (an essay)

In many countries traditional food is replaced by international fast food. This has adverse effects on families, individuals and the society. Do you agree or disagree? Give your opinion.
