IELTS test in Canada – March 2014 (Academic Module)

The questions below were shared by M (thanks a lot!) who took the IELTS test in Canada. M remembered everything except the Listening test.

Writing test

Writing task 1 (a report)

We were given two bar graphs: one showing CO2 emission per person in six different countries and another showing CO2 emission by the whole population of these six countries.

Writing task 2 (an essay)

People think that good health is a basic need so it should not be in hands of profit-oriented companies. Are the advantages of profit-oriented companies overweight the disadvantages?

– If somebody gave you a plant as a gift, how would you feel about it?

IELTS Results competition winners in March 2014

What a great feeling it is to finally reveal the 12 winners who received the best IELTS results in March. Coming from 6 different countries this is a truly international group of high achievers, with one thing in common – no score is below Band 7.5!

We should really find out how these lovely people were able to score so well. All we know at the moment is that Krishna Neelamraju ( Band 8.5 ) used these practice tests, and Sindhukrishna Murthy ( Band 8 ) used our book “Ace the IELTS”. But we definitely need to know more!
