It was relatively acceptable.

2) A continuation about the first one where you have to fill in the blanks.
3) Fatty acids where someone gives a lecture about it.

3) Flax in New Zealand
4) Zenda Airways Language Level Test Entry

Task 2
Living in the city is uncomfortable, why? What are the reasons and problems? What can be done to solve these problems?

Update from Academic IELTS exam, Scotland

A student from Scotland shared with us her IELTS experience. Thanks, Eva!

Listening

1) A primary school teacher books a trip to sea-life centre (or something similar) (we had gap-fills and multiply choice)
2) A college lecturer presents information what to ask for on a university open days (we had to do multiply choice and it was quite confusing)
3) A university lecture gives information on water conservation (I think this was the easiest part, gap filling only, you could hear the answers very clearly)

Reading

1) Bigger choice may lead to confusion and depression
2) Birds, hatching, nesting, looking after the young (probably the most difficult, but questions are easy to answer)
3) Life on Mars (easy to read and understand)
Tasks for all of them: multiple choice and true/false/not given

Writing

Task 1
Chart and table – students working part-time in different age groups, number of hours a week and number of years to complete the course

Task 2
Something like: Should charity organizations give aid to countries where it is needed or should they be concerned about their own country only?
(I think this was really stupid topic, I had no ideas or vocabulary I could impress with)

Speaking

Interview
Questions about myself, like what is my name, do I visit parks, how are they important?….

Little speech
Describe a traditional event in your country, who attends it, when and where does it happen, what do you do ….

Discussion
Talking rubbish about anything like: Have you forgotten about some traditions? Which ones? (my answer: “Well, if we forgotten the traditions than I cannot remember them, obviously, can I ?!”)
or
If you believe that loosing traditions is a part of evolution, do you think that Christmas will be canceled as well? (My answer: “That’s impossible, as long as Santa Clause lives, they can’t be canceled! [laugh]. Well, I would not mind if all that catholic rubbish about Christmas was forgotten [hope he was not religious]).
